Future grade 6’s! This grade was really fun and you will enjoy it to. If you are afraid of the grade 7’s it’s ok, I was a bit worried about them and that they would be mean to the grade 6 students. They aren’t mean at all they are just advanced 6’s! Also the teachers are all different. I was worried that the teacher would be like all loud and like ‘’Do this and do that!’’ and if I wasn’t afraid of them I would think they would be boring and slow. But none of the teachers were like that at all. Lastly the way to be successful would be to always correct your mistakes if you get something wrong because you will learn from them. In the beginning of my grade six year I never corrected my mistakes and now, I do. Hope this helped! J
To This Day
Recently I watched a video called, “To This Day”. This video had some very strong messages in them. It was presented by Shane Koyczan, a Canadian poet, and how he was mistreated and bullied as a child.
One thing I connected to was that a boy I know had been like Shane. Everybody called him mean names. He just went up to his room and started crying. He didn’t want anybody to see him so he just stayed in his room all day.
I connected to the part when he was called a terrible name like Shane. He was home schooled because he didn’t want anybody to call him mean names, know him, or see him. But eventually he tried to resist how friends and others were mean.
The message of this video was don’t give up and keep defending yourself if you are getting bullied. So believe in yourself and don’t let people drag you down.
I learned how you should fight back a bit if you’re in a situation like Shane. Also, I think, be nice to people even if they are different - it doesn’t mean you should bully them like the others.
Me and my sister were so excited on Christmas morning it was awesome! Christmas day was very fun. I woke up around 4:47 because I wanted to open my stocking but I had to wait for my sister to wake up first. Eventually she woke up and we both ran to the dresser were we hung our stockings. We throw all our stuff out on to our bed. I got some pretty cool things in it! My sister said that we should sneak out to look at the Christmas tree and see if our mum and grandma were awake. So I waited and my sister went in and tapped on the shoulders and they woke up slowely. My mum said we couldn't open any presents until our dad got there. He did and then me and my sister took turns opening presents. Then I showed my mum and dad my poem, video card and they were so happy with it I then gave them the links. My mums sister hosted a Christmas party at her and her boyfriends house. We opened more presents there and visited with familey. Our dads sister and opened more more presents and visited more more familey! After that my dad took us to our uncle and his girlfriends house and we played pefection and played with their cats. He drove us home and we all fell fast asleep. That was my Christmas day hope you enjoyed!
What my Family Does on Christmas
What we do… Well I wake up at about 5:30 I then open my stocking at the end of my bed. I’m always so excited, I sneak to look at the Christmas tree to see all the presents under it. I wait and wait for my sister to get up and then we tell each other. Then we both sit and wait for our mum to wake up. We then tear apart presents after our mum wakes up. After that we go for lunch at my mums side of the family and then we go to my dads side of family for dinner. That is pretty much my Christmas Day is like.
Castle Fun Park
This Friday I had an awesome school day! On Friday we went to Castle Fun Park with our class. It was a long drive out to where it was. Once we got there it was still really quiet I didn’t see anybody else except the staff and us. We walked into a room decorated like a jungle. We all went over the rules and then our teachers gave us the cards that you use to do the activities. Me and three other friends went around in a group. The first thing we did was mini golf; we went into the coral reef course. It was really fun and the golfing course was really neat. When we were done golf we went to the bumper cars. It is funny when two people come at you from different directions I got launched across the floor. My friends and I then went to get lunch we had pizza and pop. Later I saw my friend near the lunchroom and he said he was going to pay to do this ride thing. So I went on it and the game blows wind in your face and shakes, it makes like real life. I then caught up to my other friends, two of them wanted to go up stairs and play video games. The other one and me went to the soccer kick cage. My friend wasted all his money on the soccer kick. We found our other friends bowling and we asked them to come bumper carting, one went to the go-carts and the rest went with me. When it was almost time to go we headed back to the jungle room. We then left Castle Fun Park. That was the day at CFP.
I still have that ugly burn on my finger from camping one day. When I was younger me, my Grandpa, my Grandpa’s friend (Steve), and his son (Chad). So we were paddling down the Kootney River. We found this nice bank on the river and camped there, we found a dead deer on the shore. We than pulled the deer into river to get rid of the smell. Later that day I was siting beside the campfire, thinking about that deer. Chad told me it was dinner and he told me to get the juice carton. So I went to get the apple juice (not knowing it was the fire), I picked it up and screamed something like bear. Then my grandpa and Steve froze. I ran into the shallow water and stuck my finger in. It stung but it also felt good. The burning hot plastic from the carton stuck on to my finger and it hurt. The plastic didn’t hurt after a while but it left a weird burn mark. That was the time Chad and me made a bad decision!
The Best Moment of my Life
I became the President of U.S. The best moment of my life was probably when I got my report card in grade 5. It is a nice feeling of getting good grades, I was sure happy about them! I couldn’t wait to show my mum and dad. It was the last day of school and everybody was so exited. I ran out of my classroom like everybody else. It was really busy on the blacktop; all my classmates were showing their report cards to their parents. My mum was all the way over on the other side of the primary field. I ran through everybody trying to get to my mum. She said, “How was your last day of school?” I was like it was awesome! I got a fabulous report card. There were A’s. My mum said it was great and she took my sister and me to Red Robins. So I Think that was probably my best moment of my life.
Pets are good for people because...
Did you know that people that are blind get a dog to lead them were the person needs to go, cool right! There are lots of pets that are good people. Like a dog or cat. They can entertain you but you have to be responsible for them. Being responsible for a pet is one good thing it can make you more responsible just in general. Some pets like a cat might kill rats, or spiders. They can also be good for medical issuses, for blind people you get a dog that leads you where you want to go. Maybe you had a concussion and you could feel them walking on you, or hear them. If say your Grandma was all alone, she might consider getting a cat or dog to keep them company. Maybe get some fish to entertain your self. But all pets are a responsablity which can also make you more responsible. Maybe a Parrot can have a conversation with you (if it's really talented). Those are some things I think pets are good for.
What is Remembrance Day to you? Remembrance Day is we remembering the soldiers and how they fought for us. I will talk about all I know about Remembrance Day. In a field called Flanders Fields the soldiers were buried. Poppies started growing out of the ground where they were buried. The Poppy (which is a flower) signifies the people who died in war and we wear them to Remember their bravery. So on November 11, the 11th day, of the 11th hour, of the 11th minute, we have a moment of silence to remember the fallen soldiers. The thing that I wonder about is that what if we don’t do anything on Remembrance Day? Will the soldiers lose the will to fight, or not protect anybody? Then soldiers who go to war now might give up. So those are some things I know about Remembrance Day.
Trick or treat! On Halloween I dressed up as the Hunchback that lives in the bell tower in movies. Saddley this Halloween had really bad weather. It rained hard the whole night. We went to our friends house and hanged out there with them until pizza arrived. After we ate we went out to trunk or treat at the school. There they give out candy from their vehicle's trunk. It was like a torrential downpour while we were going from trunk to tunk. We went back to our freinds house and it was still raining! Then we dumped our candy into our own little pile. Then we went out again and it was still raining a little bit. We went around the neighborhood and went from door to door it staretd raining again. Me and my buddy went ahead of everybody else but none of the houses were scary. We went back in and dumped all our candy in the pile we had after trunk or treat and we didn't have alot of it. Then we just sat around and talked for the rest of Halloween night. After our friends stoped giving out candy to the trick or treaters that started late. Then we went home and went to sleep.
This is my 0nline journal.
