Acrostic Poem
C Is for Candy Cane as the delect
able, sweet mint treat enters your mouth.
H Is for Holly, vibe rot red berries and a dark forest green leaves.
R Is for Reindeer as they powerfully clomp and clatter on the roof.
I Is for Icicles they daringly hand from rooftops.
S Is for stocking suspended above the fireplace like birds nested in a tree.
T Is for tinsel encircling the Christmas tree.
M Is for Manger set among the mantle to represent Christmas.
A Is for Advantage calendar a surprise every day.
S is for Santa the mystical, man of the holiday.
Learning intention: I can use descriptive language/phrases that create strong images in the readers’ minds.
When doing this poem I was a bit unsure on what to do but then I caught on. So an Acrostic Poem is where there is a word going down the page and every letter there is you have to say what that letter is, so if I had a C I could say Cat or C is for... But I enjoyed doing this I thought it was pretty fun. Also the word I chose was Christmas!
